Police investigating hit and run incident

Prince George RCMP is currently investigating a hit and run incident that occurred around 6:00 p.m. on March 3, 2025, when a youth walking along Holmes Road near Ellis Road was struck by a passing vehicle.

Thankfully, the youth was not seriously injured. We are reaching out to the public to see if anyone has video surveillance or dash camera footage that would help move this investigation forward, states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

The vehicle is described as a black or grey pick up truck, possibly a GMC or a Dodge Ram. It may have had a lift kit and had metal racks in the bed of the truck. The truck continued west along Holmes Road after striking the victim.

Investigators are looking for any dash camera, cell phone or video surveillance footage from the area between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:25 p.m., or to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident and has not already spoken with police.
