Suspect charged in alleged Richmond break and enter

Investigation by Richmond RCMP results in charge for suspect in residential break and enter.
On November 13, 2024 Richmond RCMP attended the 3700 block of Blundell Road for a possible break and enter in-progress. Richmond RCMP frontline contained the residence and located an insecure exterior door but the suspect had already left the scene.
Richmond RCMP frontline officers collected the initial evidence with Richmond RCMP Property Crime Unit later taking conduct of the investigation
Through the subsequent investigation, a suspect was identified. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan has since been charged with one count of break and enter, contrary to section 348(1)(d) of the Criminal Code of Canada, and remains in custody pending a bail hearing
