The Sea to Sky RCMP-Squamish is investigating a series of incidents involving youth kicking at residential and commercial doors in the community, causing property damage and alarming residents.

Over the past several weeks, police have received multiple reports of individuals riding e-bikes while wearing balaclavas and targeting homes by kicking doors. These actions have resulted in damage to property and disruptions in several neighbourhoods.

These incidents are not only causing financial harm to property owners but are also creating fear and frustration within our community, said S/Sgt. Gareth Bradley. We take this behaviour very seriously and are working diligently to identify those involved.

Thanks to the assistance of concerned citizens and police investigations, several youth involved in these activities have been caught by police. However, investigations are ongoing, and further enforcement actions may follow as necessary.

Police remind parents and guardians to speak with their children about the consequences of such behaviour. While some may view it as a prank, the damage and distress caused can have serious repercussions.

Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity immediately to police and to secure their properties, including ensuring doors and outdoor lighting are in good working condition.

If you have information about these incidents or can help identify those involved, please contact Sea to Sky RCMP-Squamish at 604-892-6100.

Together, we can ensure our community remains safe and welcoming for everyone.
