The Comox Valley RCMP, in partnership with the Real Canadian Superstore and the Comox Valley Food Bank, is excited to announce the "Cram the Cruiser" food drive event on January 11, 2025.

The community is invited to join us between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on January 11, 2025 at the Real Canadian Superstore in Courtenay to help fill a police cruiser with non-perishable food donations and support those in need after the holiday season.

While the season of giving often peaks before Christmas, the need for food donations remains critical in the months that follow. January and February are especially challenging for food banks as supplies run low. This event provides an excellent opportunity for the community to come together and ensure families in the Comox Valley continue to have access to essential food items.

After the holidays, donations tend to slow down, but hunger doesn’t take a break, says Cst. Monika Terragni, Comox Valley RCMP. We’re asking the community to come out and show their support for those who continue to need help after the New Year.

Comox Valley RCMP officers will be on-site, ready to pack their cruiser full of food donations. Representatives from the Real Canadian Superstore and the Comox Valley Food Bank will also be present to highlight the impact these donations will have.

In addition to the food drive, there will be a BBQ by donation, with all food generously donated by the Real Canadian Superstore. Enjoy a delicious meal while supporting a great cause!
