Coquitlam RCMP arrest suspect in recent sexual assault series

On December 8, 2024, the Coquitlam RCMP arrested a suspect in connection to a recent series of sexual assaults that occurred in Coquitlam. The timely arrest comes after significant police efforts to identify and locate the suspect. The Coquitlam RCMP is now investigating a total of nine (9) reports where the male suspect is alleged to have inappropriately touched women as they walked.

We are committed to ensuring the safety of our community, said Sergeant Karrie Ellis. Public safety is our top priority and we will dedicate any needed resources to protect our residents from harm and bring those responsible before the courts.

Thank you to the public and the media for your assistance. The investigation is ongoing and police are unable to release the suspect’s identity at this time. The suspect has been released on conditions.
