Police investigating shooting that resulted in one death

Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred on November 6, 2024 at 11:45 p.m. on the 1500-block of Victoria Street that has resulted in the death of one person.

Police officers immediately attended the location and began a search for the suspect, who remains outstanding. Investigators are asking that anyone who was in the area between 11:35 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. and may have dash camera footage, cell phone video or video surveillance from that area, please speak with a police officer.

This appears to be a targeted attack; however, the investigation is at its preliminary stages and we continue to gather evidence. We ask that anyone who has information that may aid in this investigation, please contact a police officer by calling the Prince George RCMP non-emergency number, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

The investigation is ongoing.
