Police investigating shooting

 An adult man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a shooting at a residence in Nanaimo. The incident occurred at approximately 6 PM on Saturday November 2, 2024 in central Nanaimo.

Police responded to a report of shots fired. The injured man was treated at the scene by attending BCEHS then transported to the Nanaimo hospital.

The suspect fled prior to police arriving. Police carried out an extensive search however, the suspect was not located. Investigators believe that this was a targeted shooting and that there is no further risk to the public.
