Police seeking witnesses in theft and mischief to driftwood art

On October 17, 2024, West Shore RCMP responded to a report of stolen and damaged driftwood art that was displayed near the 3000 block of Ocean Boulevard in Colwood.
Three driftwood art sculptures, a kingfisher, a squirrel and hummingbird were stolen. A fourth driftwood sculpture, in the form of an owl, was damaged. Police believe the theft and mischief took place sometime in the last month.

West Shore RCMP is continuing this investigation and asks anyone with information about the theft and mischief to the sculptures to please contact the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264. You can also report anonymously online via Crime Stoppers or by calling at 1-800-222-8477.
