On October 19th, 2024, Sam Benastick was reported as missing by his family after he’s failed to return from a camping trip in the Redfern-Keily Park off of Highway 97 near the Sikanni Chief area. He last updated his family on October 8th, 2024.

Benastick was supposed to have returned by October 17th, 2024.

Benastick is an avid hiker/camper. He had a tarp, a black Osprey backpack with red strings and other camping supplies.

This is out of character for Benastick and his family are concerned for his well-being.

Extensive resources have been deployed including Search and Rescue and the Police Dog Services Unit to assist in locating him.
