Multiple warrants, drugs and weapons seized in one day operation in Whalley area

Surrey RCMP North Community Response Unit (CRU) seized multiple weapons, drugs and arrested individuals with outstanding warrants during one shift in the City Centre.
On October 3, 2024 North CRU conducted enforcement targeting the open drug trade in Whalley area. Officers arrested 14 people for drug trafficking and four arrest warrants were executed against three individuals. The following was seized from multiple people:
- 16 weapons were seized including a pellet gun, brass knuckles, Billy club, baton, bear mace, and a variety of knives;
- Suspected Cocaine - 41.24 grams
- Suspected Fentanyl - 56.08 grams
- Suspected Methamphetamine - 37.1 grams
The quantity of drugs and weapons seized from open-air drug traffickers is concerning to us
, stated S/Sgt Nigel Pronger, The traffickers are carrying more weapons, which leads to others also carrying weapons. Police teams will continue to conduct overt enforcement and targeted investigations in City Centre to ensure the public is safe
