Help choose a name for Sgt. Bison
Surrey
2024-10-15 15:22 PDT
Surrey RCMP has a new mascot and needs help to give Sergeant Bison a first name!
This is an exciting and unique opportunity for elementary and high school students to suggest a name for the Surrey RCMP’s newest mascot, Sgt. Bison.
Sgt. Bison is excited to meet with kids and community members throughout the City. You can expect to see Sgt. Bison showing off their moves during the RCMP Basketball classic and at future community events.
Students from elementary and high schools in Surrey are encouraged to offer their suggestions and help give Sgt. Bison a first name. The winning suggestion will be selected by members and staff at the Surrey RCMP detachment.
The contest rules are simple:
- Contestants can suggest only 1 first name (1 entry per person)
- The name can start with any letter
- The name must be 1 or 2 syllables
- Contestants must be between 5 – 18 years old
- Contestants must live in Surrey and attend a Surrey elementary or high school
- Entries must be received by Friday, November 1, 2024
The winning entrant will receive a school visit from Sgt. Bison and an RCMP prize bag.
We are excited to introduce Sgt. Bison to the community,
says Staff Sergeant Sub Wong, Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of Surrey RCMP Youth Section. We look forward to reading all of the creative entries for Sgt. Bison’s first name.
Contest entries can be submitted by email to surrey_media@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
