File # 2024-31328
Richmond RCMP warning owners of sea-doos after receiving four reports of alleged thefts in a 6-day period.
Between October 2 and October 6, 2024 Richmond RCMP received four alleged theft reports involving sea-doos from Marinas located in the area of the Moray Bridge. All of the alleged thefts occurred within a two-week window and three of the reports are associated to a single marina.
As many owners have already dry-docked their personal watercraft for the season, we are recommending anyone who stores their personal watercraft in Marinas in that area to check on it,
says Corporal Adriana O’Malley, Richmond RCMP Media Relations Officer.
One of the stolen sea-doos has been recovered while three remain outstanding.
Anyone who may have witnessed, or have information regarding these alleged thefts, is asked to call Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212. Should you wish to remain anonymous, please contact Crimestoppers by phone at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visit them online at www.solvecrime.ca.
