File # 2024-7561

On September 11, 2024, the RCMP Pacific Region Federal Policing Program Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response (CLEAR) Team executed a search warrant on a rural property in Enderby, BC which resulted in the recovery of a stolen Bobcat skid-steer loader, and the seizure of over 30,000 kilograms of chemicals that investigators believe were to be used in the production of illicit synthetic drugs.

In the summer of 2024, the RCMP Pacific Region Federal Policing Program CLEAR Team began an investigation that ultimately led investigators to a large rural property in Enderby, BC. The investigation culminated in police executing a search warrant on the property and, in an effort to advance the investigation, can confirm that the search resulted in the recovery of a Bobcat skid-steer loader reported stolen in Kelowna in 2021, the seizure of a over 30,000 kilograms of chemicals, and a vehicle registered to recently deceased Donald Donnie LYONS being located on the property.

Due to the volume of chemicals located, investigators believe the chemicals were destined for one or more large economic based super labs where they could have been utilized in the production of hundreds of kilograms of methamphetamine.

This seizure represents the removal of millions of dollars of profit from the hands of organized crime and has prevented the production and distribution of large amounts of harmful and in some cases lethal illicit drugs into our communities. Investigations like this demonstrate the RCMP Pacific Region Federal Policing Program’s continued commitment to protecting the citizens of Canada, combatting organized crime and preventing criminal groups from profiting off the suffering of our societies most vulnerable.
