Four suspects charged in Burnaby Homicide

Four suspects have been charged in connection with the homicide of Ryan Nagy.
Background:
On June 29, 2023, at 7:05 a.m., the Burnaby RCMP received a report of an incident at a residence in the 7600-block of 17 Avenue, Burnaby. Police located a 19-year old man, later identified as Ryan Nagy, suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite the best efforts of the first responders, the victim succumbed to his injuries on scene. A second victim was located with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took conduct of the investigation and worked closely in partnership with the Burnaby RCMP, BC Coroners Service, and the Integrated Forensic Identification Services (IFIS).
Update:
On September 14, 2024, the BC Prosecution Service laid charges of Manslaughter and Forcible Confinement against 20-year-old Ali Shamkhi, 23-year-old Rhoda Diabikulu, 20-year-old Ousmaine Keita and 20-year-old Rais Usman.
Investigators can confirm all four suspects have been arrested and will remain in custody until their first court appearances.
