White Rock RCMP host public transit safety seminar with Metro Vancouver Transit Police

Have you thought about using public transit to get to work? School? Concert? Sporting event etc? You’ve thought about it, but you aren’t really sure it’s safe or you wonder if there were to be a problem happen, would I be able to get help? Did you know there are safety features on the bus and skytrain as well at bus stops and skytrain stations?

White Rock RCMP is hosting a Public Transit Safety Seminar in the evening of Thursday September 26th, 2024, with a special presentation from Metro Vancouver Transit Police Officers. There will be discussions and explanations on how to use transit safety features. Metro Vancouver Transit Police as well as local RCMP officers will be available to answer any questions you have.

While interacting with community members, we were asked to host a joint safety session with Metro Vancouver Transit Police in the evening allowing commuters and students the opportunity to attend. Said White Rock RCMP Constable Chantal Sears. We agree that this is a great opportunity to educate our residents, and we look forward to an engaging evening September 26th.

The safety seminar will be held at the White Rock Community Centre located at 15154 Russell Avenue and will start at 6:30 PM.

This is an all ages seminar, free to attend and registration is not necessary.
