Pedestrian in critical condition after being struck by a car on the Langley By Pass

Langley RCMP is currently on scene investigating an early morning motor vehicle collision in the 20900 block of the Langley By Pass.
On Friday August 30, 2024 at 4:15 a.m. Langley RCMP Frontline officers responded to the area of Kwantlen Crescent and the Langley By Pass after a car struck a pedestrian.
The car was travelling west-bound on the Langley By Pass as the pedestrian was crossing near Kwantlen Crescent. The car collided with a 44 year old pedestrian who was transported to hospital with critical, life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car remained on scene to speak with police.
The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) and Langley RCMP remain at the scene investigating.
The Langley By Pass will remain closed in both directions.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dash cam video for between 4:00 a.m. and 4:15 a.m. from the area around 20800 Langley By Pass is asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604 532-3200 and quote file number 2024-27832.
