Surrey RCMP investigates shots fired at vehicle in Newton

Surrey RCMP is investigating shots fired at a vehicle in Newton this weekend.
On August 17, 2024 at approximately 7:15 pm, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired into a vehicle when it was stopped at the intersection of 122A Street and 67A Avenue.
The preliminary investigation indicates a white SUV was travelling southbound on 124 Street when it was allegedly followed the suspect vehicle, described as a silver Toyota Corolla, prior to the shooting.
The Surrey RCMP General Investigation Section has conduct of this investigation and has been in the area speaking with witnesses and canvassing for CCTV.
Thankfully no one was injured during this act of violence,
