Coquitlam RCMP is inviting the public to Fitness with a First Responder on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam.

Physical fitness is a discipline that develops over time and is necessary for safety, well-being and longevity for every first responder. Potential first responder applicants should have good fitness habits prior to applying in order to be successful throughout training and their careers.

Coquitlam RCMP is inviting the public to attend this event to learn more about the physical requirements needed as a first responders. Event attendees will have opportunity to ask questions, gain insights while completing the Coquitlam Crunch or Port Coquitlam Climb alongside various first responders.

This is a unique opportunity for the public to ask questions about first responder physical requirements while enjoying the outdoors, said Media Relations Officer, Corporal Alexa Hodgins. Being a first responder can be physically demanding and we wanted to provide an opportunity for potential applicants to experience that in a fun way.
