Surrey RCMP investigates early morning shooting that left one male injured

Surrey RCMP is investigating a shooting in the Cloverdale area in which one male has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On August 3rd, 2024 at approximately 08:41 am, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a male suffering from a gun shot wound in an encampment located in the 5300 block of 180th Street.

The Surrey RCMP General Investigations Unit has conduct of the investigation, and investigators are working to determine all of the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Evidence-gathering is still underway, but initial indications are this was a targeted, isolated incident.
