BC RCMP Recruiting is fast tracking suitable applicants who want to police in Northern Detachments.

BC RCMP Recruiting is expanding initiatives to fast track suitable applicants applying to Northern BC Detachments. Currently BC applicants who apply from BC can return to BC after training. Now, candidates interested in applying to police at detachments within our North District area will be provided a pre-posting agreement subject to the successful completion Depot training.

We have had an overwhelmingly positive response by BC applicants on being able to come back to BC. This new process, will allow BC applicants, who want come back and police in a northern detachment to have their application prioritized. Successful applicants will then head to training in Depot says Sgt Orregaard of Pacific Region Recruiting.

The BC RCMP provides policing services to a number of rural, coastal and urban communities.
North District is home to numerous limited duration and isolated posts. These are more remote areas with fixed contracts that allow officers to either remain in the communities for an extension or apply to specialized units or other communities to gain more experience in their careers.

The below list of North District postings are broken into categories based on contract lengths or time a member is posted to serve with that detachment.
