BC RCMP is hiring Experienced 9-1-1 Police Dispatchers (Ex911) from all Canadian police agencies.

We have a team of dedicated and passionate dispatchers who have a strong sense of purpose knowing they are saving and protecting lives. As an experienced dispatcher, they will have pathways leading to training programs that will support their career advancement. There are opportunities to become a Field Coach or Facilitator and support the training of the newly hired 9-1-1 Police Dispatchers.

There are also supervisor, team leader, and manager opportunities for experienced dispatchers with a desire and ability to lead others.

BC RCMP offers special assignments offering operational communications support during provincial emergencies, government leadership summits and national events such as FIFA 2026. It’s a great opportunity to experience working and living in another city, province or territory for a specified period of time.

BC RCMP has four Dispatch Centres located in Kelowna, Prince George, Courtenay and Surrey.

Applicants from other police agencies must have successfully completed a Canadian police call-taking and dispatching training program and a minimum of two years of experience as a 9-1-1 police dispatcher within the last five years.
