BC RCMP Pacific Shiprider recovers stolen property, requests public assistance

On June 7, 2023, the BC RCMP Federal Policing Pacific Shiprider Program conducted patrols in the Haro Strait and Juan de Fuca Strait. While in the Ogden Point area (waters south of Victoria and Esquimalt), police boarded a vessel, recovered stolen property and arrested a male. An investigation into a series of stolen properties is ongoing, in partnership with the Sidney North Saanich RCMP.

Among items confirmed stolen, investigators also recovered items believed to be stolen, however the owner is unknown. The BC RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying the owner of the following items:

BC RCMP Shiprider recovered a white dinghy vessel with an outboard engine. Police are asking the public to assist with identifying the owner.

BC RCMP Shiprider recovered multiple stolen items including fishing gear and marine safety gear. Police are asking the public to assist with identifying the owner.
